Bluestacks is an emulator that enable you run Android apps in full-screen on your PC. It comes pre-loaded with several popular apps and you can download additional apps from the Amazon AppStore, 1 Mobile Market and other sources, each app will behave exactly as on your Android device. Recently Bluestacks beta update to 0.7.10.869 version and Techgravy will show how to root Bluestacks on Windows PC.


Root Bluestacks 0.7.10.869


Visit Bluestacks home page and download bluestacks installer. I would like use Windows 7 as example.
A main control main window  appeared after bluestacks installing completed.


Click setting button and then adding a Google account, click finish set up button after Google account added.



Right click on bluestacks icon and select quit to stop bluestacks running on PC.


Open up task manager to close all bluestacks related processes.




Now go to computer > organize > folder and search options > view tab, select show hidden files, folders and drivers and, uncheck hide protected operating system files.




Download Bluestacks root and unzipped, you found that inside contain Root.fs and initrd.img two files, copy this two files.
Go to c:/ ProgramDate / BlueStacks /Android, paste it and replace Root.fs and initrd.img two files inside Android folder.



Start run bluestacks again and wait for a while, then you will notice windows as below then select apps option.




Download root checker from bluestacks Google play and installed, click allow to verify root access.




You will get a message with congratulations ! this device has root access. Bluestacks on Windows PC already rooted.
